1. How to create a driving range

This article describes how to set up a new driving range, and the general settings, booking and payments rules.

The first step in creating a new driving range is to create in in the settings view of the Sweetspot club portal ( https://club.sweetspot.io ) go to the cogwheel to find all settings.

Create a new Driving range

1. Go to Settings and select drivning range - https://club.sweetspot.io/settings/manage-range

2. Press "Create first range" or the "+ New" button in the upper right corner

3. A side window appears "Create new range". Here you need to fill in the following information:

  • Name of the range
  • VAT

4. Press "Create" button - Once you’ve created your range, you’ll gain access to additional settings to complete its configuration.

General settings

The General tab is one out of three tabs to fill in during set up of a driving range. Here are the fields that needs to be inserted:

Name
Insert the name of your range eg. "Driving Range" or " Toptracer Range"

Description 
Insert a text that describes the driving range for example what technology you use, how many bays and how many bays are with roof and heating.

Range image
Upload a image of your rage that will be used in both the Sweetspot app and the web booking. Recommended size of 750x360 pixels or an aspect ratio of 25:12. Size should not exceed 10MB. This image will be displayed within the app.

Time zone
Choose your time zone where your driving range is located.

Latitude
Enter the latitude of your range for accurate location. Use for example Google Maps. Find the location and right click to get the coordinates.

Longitude
Enter the longitude coordinates of your range for accurate location.

Allow sign-up for free membership in booking 
This settings will display a light-blue bar in the app and web booking for players who are not a member at your venue. A prerequisite for this function is that there exist a membership that has the price of 0. These membership will be displayed after activating this parameter.

Booking tab

In the booking tab, you set your parameters for how the booking process should work, e.g. auto cancellation of incomplete bookings. Here is a description of the different parts:

Time slot visibility (days ahead)
Set how many days in advance time slots will be visible to the players.

Last chance to cancel
Set the latest time a confirmed booking can be cancelled by a player.

Auto-cancel unconfirmed bookings
Automatically cance bookings that haven't been confirmed by the player
Recommended - ON - 5 minutes

Auto-cancel unpaid bookings
Automatically cance bookings that haven't been paid for by a set time.
 - Auto-cancellation timer
   Recommendation: 5 minutes

Allow adding anonymous players
Not applicable for driving ranges.

Booking information
Enter any specific booking rules or guidelines for this driving range.

Important booking information
Crucial or temporary information players need to know before completing a booking.

Custom info for booking emails
Add custom details to include in booking confirmation emails sent to players.

Payment tab

VAT
Set the VAT in percentage rate for booking sales

Payment required in app
Require payment in-app for bookings made through the Sweetspot app.
Must be ticked in.

Options to pay on-site
Allows players to pay for their booking in person when they arrive at the range.
Must be turned off.
