Payment links

1. Tutorial

Using payment links, you can facilitate payments for manually arranged bookings on golf courses through the club portal. This enables you to collect greenfees for reservations made via phone or email, eliminating the need to wait until the player arrives to process the payment. We aim to extend this feature to include simulator bookings, memberships, vouchers, and other categories in the future.

PL button

After confirming a booking, you'll find the "Payment link" button highlighted in the booking window, which opens a side panel where you can;

  • Adjust the default value to fit your specific booking (1)
  • Adjust the receiver of the link by changing the phone number or email address (the default information is fetched from the booking owner) (2)
  • Split the payment into two parts (3)
    • as a percentage or an amount of the whole (1-99%)
    • choose the due date for the first link (1-30 days)
  • Adjust the validity of the final link (4)
  • Add an internal note for future reference that will be added to the tee time slot (5)

PL side sheet

Once the payment link is sent to the player, you can stay up to date on the payment status as usual in the tee sheet but also in the new Payment links tab in the main menu where all the issued payment links will be listed. In this view you can;

  • search for previously issued links by name, email or phone number (1)
  • get redirected to the booking in the tee sheet (2)
  • copy the link of an already issued payment (3)

NOTE:

  • Payment links are, at this moment, not compatible with partnerships, ie you cannot assign a partnership to a booking and send a payment link for that booking.
  • When you generate a full price to payment link - you can’t add or remove players from this booking (only for cases when the price does not change, for example to change one manually player to another)
  • If the player is a Sweetspot app user, they can also finalize the payment in the app even if they have received a payment link (for either or both links)
  • We have fetched the club icon and background image assets that we already have in the club portal settings. These will be displayed for the player when opening the link attached in the SMS or email. If they are not configured we have put in an alert message that will let you know that the payment link will be branded with Sweetspot. If you see this message, then please reach out to us and we will adjust this for you.
