Promotions

This section describes how the general promotions work and how to set them up e.g. junior discounts or club cooperation promotions

Promotions are checked first when a booking is executed, before membership- or voucher promotions.

All promotions are gone through by the system from top to bottom. So the order of the promotions can be very important.

Membership promotions & general promotions can be set as incompatible, but that is done from the membership module. Checkout details in the membership instructions.

1. Rules

After setting the name of the promotion, it is time to fill in the "Rules". Design the rules to of when and where the promotion should be valid.

2. Actions

FIELD DESCRIPTION
Discount type - Percentage Should be chosen if the discount should be based on percentage
Discount type - Fixed discount Should be chosen if the discount should be a fixed amount
Limitation type - uses Not applicable for general promotions. Only used within memberships and vouchers.
Limitation type - discounted value Not applicable for general promotions. Only used within memberships and vouchers.
Limitation type - none To be chosen, since general promotions cant be limited.

Select the percentage the promotion should give & set to a minimum prize if needed. Set "0" as minimum price, if you want the precentage to work without interferance.Skärmavbild 2024-04-12 kl. 15.52.25

The Action tab - filters

Filters are used to identify who should get the promotion, or if it concerns golfcarts / buggies.

FILTER DESCRIPTION
Golfcarts If the promotion should be given on the golfcart fleets
Tee time slots - age

Insert age from and to to define what ages the promotion is valid for.

Calculate by year = if you tick this in, the promotion is valid for the whole year when they turn that age. If you do not tick it in, it will be calculated on the actual birth date.

Tee time slots - GIT Homeclub GIT homeclub is the Swedish Golf Federation home club.  information. If a player have double membership at the federation, the main home club will be counted for the promotion.

Tee time slots - cooperation

Cooperations can be set up between different Sweetspot connected clubs and venues. After setting up the cooperation (https://club.sweetspot.io/settings/cooperations),

the cooperation can be selected here to set the promotion on for example membership level from another club or venue. In the picture below, the promotion will be given to all players at the Sweetspot Training Golf Club with the membership SMALL.

3. Incompatible promotions

Skärmavbild 2024-04-12 kl. 16.17.24Is used to secure that several promotions are given to the players, if that is not intended.

 

When you click on "+ Promotions" button, a list of all general promotions appears. Here can you then select if one promotion should not work with another.

Example, a junior discount should not work together with a cooperation discount. Then select that discount from the list:Skärmavbild 2024-04-12 kl. 16.27.13
