POS (ExtendaGO) – Onboarding Tutorial

This article helps you go live with your POS. It covers how to install the POS app, log in, make sales, and use key POS functions. Use the links to deeper guides when you need more details.

Follow these steps to get started with POS:

  1. Verify compatible hardware

    Make sure your POS device, printer, and payment terminal are supported. This avoids setup issues later and ensures everything works smoothly from day one.

Extenda Back-office

  1. Set up your shop

    Create the basic structure of your shop, including name, address, and settings. This information is used across POS, receipts, and reports.

  2. Configure VAT rates

    Set up the VAT rates you use so prices, receipts, and reports are calculated correctly according to local tax rules.

  3. Create categories

    Organize your products into categories and sub-categories to make them easy to find and sell in the POS.

  4. Create products

    Add the products you want to sell, including prices, VAT, and category placement. These will appear in the POS app.

  5. (Optional) Set up gift cards

    Enable gift cards or vouchers if you want to sell prepaid value to your customers.

  1. Connect payment terminal

    Pair your payment terminal with the POS so you can accept card payments directly in the checkout flow.

  2. Make your first sale and close the day

    Complete a test sale and run end-of-day closing to confirm everything is set up correctly and ready for live operation.
